If you love Thai food like us, panang curry must be one of your favorites. Panang curry is a slightly milder and creamier version of Thai red curry. In fact, panang curry paste, the base used to make the dish, is very similar to red curry paste. What sets the two dishes apart is panang curry’s creamy coconut milk gravy. It is also a dry curry, so there’s only enough gravy to coat the meat, tofu and/or vegetables.

We listed our favorite panang curry recipes below. Some have pork and others have chicken, but really you can add any meat you like. Or use tofu and vegetables, and skip the fish sauce or shrimp paste for a satiating vegetarian experience. So give one of these recipes a try, to make this versatile dish at home.
